Inclusion Think-Tank
Driving thought leadership on racial justice and decoloniality in philanthropy
The Think Tank Programme from Foundation ENAR is a transformative initiative committed to advancing racial justice, driving systemic inclusion, and establishing frameworks for true equity in philanthropy.
By challenging entrenched structures and promoting decolonial approaches, the programme leads critical thinking, thought-leadership, research, and collaboration to reshape philanthropy as a force for dismantling inequities and building truly inclusive and just societies.

Current Key Initiative: Research on Philanthropic Funding for Racial Justice in Europe
The research initiative on Philanthropic Funding for Racial Justice in Europe, led by the Foundation ENAR - the first philanthropic actor of its kind dedicated to advancing racial justice across Europe - aims to analyse and transform the funding landscape for anti-racism organisations (AROs) across the continent. It is the first project being developed within the newly created Think Tank Programme.
Our research delves into the availability, accessibility, and impact of funding for AROs, uncovering critical gaps and untapped opportunities to bolster financial support for the fight against racism.
The Philanthropic Funding for Racial Justice survey shines a light on the roles of key players:
civil society organisations (CSOs),
activist movements,
private and corporate philanthropies,
and other donors,
while charting a path toward a more equitable funding ecosystem.
As an organisation deeply committed to empowering anti-racist movements and championing racial justice, Foundation ENAR is determined to confront the financial challenges that AROs face head-on.
This research will serve to shape our strategic priorities and inspire other donors to rethink their practices, and advocate for fairer funding mechanisms.
By mapping trends and assessing how donor priorities align with the needs of AROs, we aim to deliver actionable recommendations that will improve long-term sustainability for organisations at the forefront of anti-racism work.
Through an intersectional lens, this study combines rigorous desk research with surveys and interviews involving AROs, donors, and experts.
The findings will serve as a critical tool for philanthropic organisations, public agencies, and advocacy groups to come together in building a stronger, more effective funding ecosystem for anti-racism in Europe.
This is more than just research, it’s a call to action. Together, we can ensure that those fighting for racial justice have the resources they need to create lasting change. Will you join us?
