Diversity is one of L’Oréal’s founding values. From the make-up of our teams to the products we develop, L’Oréal has always put diversity at the heart of its concerns. Plurality and complementarity of both our brands and products testify to L’Oreal’s commitment to valuing all forms of beauty and well-being and to respecting differences. In addition, the Group is convinced that diverse teams at all levels and in all areas bring more creativity and a better understanding of our clients. As a consequence, the ability of companies to live up to diversity and to report on their progress is a key regulatory and cohesion tool. Non-discrimination and diversity play an integral part in this process. Moreover, at a human and personal level, diversity is a unique source of energy enabling us to be more creative and more effective!
Issues relating to ethnic and cultural diversity have thus become essential to the company’s global policy. As a result, L’Oréal has multiplied approaches and initiatives and has engaged in an in-depth cooperation with ENAR since 2008. This partnership and the results it has brought have been extremely positive. That is why L’Oréal is happy to support the ENAR Foundation Award for a racism-free Europe. “NGOs play a crucial role both in terms of raising awareness of society and in terms of support to victims of discrimination. Encouraging NGOs active in this field, through the ENAR Foundation Award, and the change in mentalities which they bring about, is in line with L’Oréal’s commitment and social responsibility. These NGOs really help us to go further in our approaches”, said Rachid Bensahnoune, International Human Resources Director for Diversity at L’Oréal.
